LAC-CD promotes alzheimer’s research, networking and implementation science through different mechanisms and initiatives.

ISTAART - Alzheimer´s Association
LAC-CD is supported by the International Society to Advance Alzheimer’s Research and Treatment (ISTAART), an initiative of the Alzheimer’s Association, through ongoing webinars, collaborative initiatives, and networking activities. This support strengthens regional capacity building, promotes knowledge exchange among researchers, clinicians, and stakeholders, and facilitates the development of collaborative projects aimed at improving dementia research, care, and policy across Latin America and the Caribbean.

ReDLat – Multi-Partner Consortium for Dementia Research in Latin America
Flagship consortium integrating genomic, neuroimaging, and behavioral data to study the genetic and social determinants of dementia across Latin America and the United States.

LatAm FINGERS – Multidomain Lifestyle Intervention Network
A collaborative initiative uniting 14 countries to adapt and implement multidomain lifestyle interventions for dementia prevention and healthy aging across the region.

Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI) at San Francisco (US) and Dublin (Ireland)
LAC-CD is affiliated with the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI) at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and Trinity College Dublin (TCD). This partnership provides a unique opportunity to develop research collaborations, educational programs, and faculty and fellows exchanges, among other initiatives.
